What it requires depends on how you're set up: a registered business needs its real legal name, EIN/Tax ID, and address; an individual or informal business without an EIN instead registers as a "Sole Proprietor," which only needs a name, email, phone number, and address — no SSN or Tax ID involved either way. If you chose the "set it up for me" option, we'll send you a secure link where you enter this information directly with Twilio (the carrier-compliance company behind this) — we never see or store that information ourselves. If you're managing your own Twilio account, you'll complete this registration yourself.

One more thing this registration requires: a real, reachable business presence online. Already have a website or an active Facebook/Instagram page? You're all set — that satisfies it.
